Ian L. M. Durdle, Attorney
Ian Durdle is an attorney at Fauver, Large, Archbald & Spray, LLP with a practice focused on civil litigation and real estate and land use matters. Mr. Durdle has experience in a variety of disputes, including contracts, cannabis regulations, public agency compliance, employment, landlord-tenant, and general business litigation. Mr. Durdle enjoys putting in the time to get to know his clients and their stories, which he has found to be the key to generating inventive solutions that meet his clients’ needs and unlocking successful results in their cases.
Prior to joining FLAS, Ian clerked in the Sacramento City Attorney’s office and in the office of general counsel for the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He earned his B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of California, Davis and his J.D. from the University of Davis School of Law. In law school, he was President of the Negotiations Team, competing in numerous ABA-sponsored national competitions. Ian is proud to be a stalwart San Francisco 49ers and Sacramento Kings fan as well as an escape room enthusiast.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Represented a cannabis client in a breach of contract and intentional misrepresentation suit that resulted in a substantial settlement in the client’s favor.
- Advised clients regarding land use regulations and obtaining entitlements for a wide range of projects.
- Represented numerous clients in negotiations and litigation with neighboring property owners regarding easements and other boundary disputes.
- Advised both landlord and tenant clients regarding the drafting of complex commercial leases.
- Represented private and public entities in wrongful termination, retaliation and discrimination cases that resulted in the dismissal of claims.
